Out of all the places in Austin my favorite outdoors place is Zilker Park.

Something that’s great about Zilker park is the summer musical thrown there every year. With a new Every year I watch, spread out on my Cubs blanket, surrounded by friends, and family.

Another fun thing to do at Zilker park is the Kite Festival. The lush spring air full of flamboyant, colorful kites soaring towards the sun. There are never clouds, and the sky always windy; perfect weather for kite flying.

Then there’s the Trail of Lights: an annually held event where the park is decorated in Christmas light. Tall standing wire frame structures of light parading the park grounds. And the hot chocolate stands at the end of the trail under the huge Christmas tree of lights.

As you can see there so many fun things to do at Zilker Park, and I hope that if you ever visit Austin that you will go there.
