Week #3: My Favorite Apps for iOS

Here is a list of my favourite apps on iOS. Many of the descriptions don’t give as much to the games so if they sound somewhat interesting I would suggest trying them.

1⃣ Ballons TD 5— This was one of the first tower defense games and probably the most popular. This game has great colors, design, and simple mechanics, easy enough for anyone to understand. It also has hard enough gameplay to keep all skill levels at check. BTD 5 might not have been the first tower defense but it is definitely one of the best.

2⃣ Don’t Look Back— In this platforming arcade style app you have to reach the end, dodging bats, fighting monsters, and figuring out puzzles. It is a very fun game, but is a bit short. However that’s okay because you can try to beat it in fewer lives, or shorter time. Also overall it’s just fun to play, I don’t know if it’s the red graphics, the simplicity, or the great gameplay.

3⃣ Tiny Tower— In this app you have to maintain your own tower while also trying to make it as tall as possible. There are so many things to do in this app to keep you entertained for a long time. From adding new floors to restocking shelves and painting walls. Also to note the graphics; stylized, and pixelated, but none the less great.

4⃣ Badland— In this app you play as a winged black fuzz ball trying to get through puzzles. One thing that’s interesting though is that you can only control how fast or slow you go up and down which can lead to some genius puzzle solutions. There is also an extra insanely fun multiplayer mode in which you race your friends to the end trying not to die.

5⃣ Nimble Quest— Everybody has played, or at least heard of, the classic game; Snake. Well this app takes that concept a whole new level. You have to worry about not running into enemies or walls, getting power ups, and losing all of your health. You can also join a guild, earn upgrades, or break your own high record.
